DEBEAKING EQUIPMENT
Pecking can be very disastrous in a short period of time and a planned
program of debeaking should be followed to eliminate all possibility of
pecking.
You will certainly lose a considerable number of birds if you wait
for the first signs of pecking before debeaking. At Georgia Quail
Farm, we debeak all our chicks between a week and ten days of age, again
at six weeks of age, and again at twelve weeks of age. Debeaking is
a must and is very inexpensive for the small operator as well as the large.
All that is required is to cut the upper beak about one third of the
distance back.No. 0216 - DEBEAKING CLIPPER (Size 4")........POST PAID $2.65 SANITIZED FEEDER TRAY AND
DACB (Deotized Animal Cage Board) is a special NEOMYCIN
treated absorbent board to inhibit bacterial degredation to aid in control
of disease and odors. Use on brooder floor in heated area to protect
chicks from drafts and neutralize droppings. AS A FEEDER TRAY - Place
feeder on DACB and scatter feed around every day to start chicks to eating.
Healthier chicks, as DACB retards harmful bacteria. One sheet
placed in dropping pan under feeder area absorbs moisture from droppings
and NEOMYCIN aids in control of odors. (Trays are disposable)DROPPING PAN DEODORIZER

Entire hood removes for easy filling. Simple latches for closing.
Weather proof hood to protect feed from driving rain. 1" steel
tube in ground to hold feeder upright and prevent larger animals from upsetting
it. Large 2 gallon feed container. 6 feeder stations are sharp
pointed to prevent small animals from getting feed. Low cost feeder
provides adequate food for birds but protects feed from weather, animals,
varmints, cattle and hogs. Cleaning of lands depletes natural food
of wild birds and released birds do not know how to look for food, so this
feeder supplies adequate fresh feed. Increased bird feeding capacity
with 6 feeder stations.No. 5025 WILD AND RELEASED BIRD FEEDER......Wt. 16lbs $29.95 Brooder Attraction Light Bulbs Low wattage light should be used to attract the baby chicks to the heating element, feed, and, water. Red lights were used for years and still preferred by some breeders. Blue lights have been the most popular in recent years. Low intensity white light has been shown to increase food conversion and does not cause added risk for packing. Each $1.95 |
